Survived By Gladys is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Kellie & Brian Rhodes, siblings; George (Marie) Napier, Angaline (Mike) Jones and Lois (Bruce) Phillips, brother-in-law; James (Brenda) Wheeler and sister-in-law; Christine Lynch.
Other Gladys was born to the late George & Opal Napier on June 8, 1942 in Bonnie Blue, Virginia. Gladys was a 1961 graduate of Mooresville High School and was married to her late husband “Sonny” for 53 years until his passing in 2017. She worked in the shoe department at Walmart until her retirement in 2010. She was also a Bookkeeper at Ivy Tech Community College. Gladys enjoyed going to craft fairs and spending time at home and feeding her woodpeckers. She was an amazing seamstress and loved to bake. She is famous for her award winning pumpkin bread and orange juice cake, which she baked for the local fire department on a regular basis. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Carlisle Branson Funeral Service & Crematory from 12:00pm-3:00pm. Funeral Services will be on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 12:00pm with visitation one hour prior to the start of the service in the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in honor of Gladys to the A&A Townships Volunteer Fire Department (P.O. Box 225, Eminence, Indiana 46125).
