Other | Age 82. "Uncle Samuel Tucker died Tuesday at his home. He was born in Henry County, Kentucky, and he and his parents moved to Southport, Indiana when he was 12 years old. The next year, his father died. In 1837, he came to Martinsville and was a carpenter. In 1843, he married Sarah K. Vincent who survives him. He had an accident in 1855 and lost a leg. He worked here and in Indianapolis. He was from a family of 10 children and his parents were of Irish descent." |
