| Other | Daniel Thornberry Sen. was born June 10, 1794 in Prince Williams Co., Virginia. He served in the War of 1812; was married February 10th, 1823, and raised a family of nine children, seven sons and two daughters, all living. He came to Indiana the later part of 1839 and lived in Mooresville about a year before moving to a farm in Madison Township. He died April 9th, 1876, aged 81 years, 9 months, and 29 days. He was a member of the M.E. Church. [Note: newspaper, dated April 13, gives date of death as the 9th. Does not agree with tombstone. Also, newspaper obituary does not give wife's name.] |
