Other	Allen R. Taylor was born in Randolph County, North Carolina in 1813 and died at his home in Hazelwood 13 February 1897, age 84. He was the father of 7 children, 6 of whom survive. One son, John Taylor, died 6 January 1880. Two daughters are in the west: Mrs. Mary Williams is in Kansas and Mrs. Tabitha Cravens is in Oregon. The four others are: Mrs. Elizabeth Rushton, Mrs. Susanah Williams, and William A. and Enos M. Taylor.
