He married Catherine Asher [on July 1, 1838 in Owen Co., Ind.] and they had 8 children[: William, Cynthia, John P., Isaac, James, Thomas, Melissa and Martesia.] Thirty years ago, a limb from a tree fell on his left shoulder, which caused permanent paralysis to his left arm. Wm. H. was his only son. Daughter Melissa married Wm. G. Ryan and daughter Martesia married Jas. Ryan. He is age 60. He was buried at Little Mount Church, Owen County." |
