| Other | Age 79. Born in Madison Co., Kentucky; daughter of Daniel and Rebecca (Johnson) Holman, natives of Virginia. On Aug. 15, 1844, Sarah married Edward J. Rice in Anderson Co., Kentucky. They settled in Mercer County, Ky., and in 1848 came to Morgan Co., Ind., where Mr. Rice died on Nov. 18, 1867. Sarah then married John Radcliff, a wealthy widower, on Jan. 9, 1869; he died on Jan. 25, 1879. She married her third husband, Lawson Alexander Summitt, a widower, on May 10, 1885; he died in Bedford in 1891, and is buried in the Old Dutch Cemetery in Monroe County. Mrs. Summitt is buried next to her first husband in Centennial Cemetery, Green Township, Morgan County. |
