| Other | Born in Guilford County, North Carolina c1802-1804. He and Betsey had 14 children, seven of whom were living in Nov. 1882 when Betsey died. First three children (Louisa, Mitchel, and Burrell) were born in North Carolina; the rest were born near Mooresville, Ind. (Other children: Elizabeth, John, James, Alonzo, Monroe, and 6 whose names have not been discovered yet.) Two sons were Civil War veterans. Peter was a shoemaker in Mooresville. He was 86 when he died; one of the earliest settlers of Brown Township, Morgan County. Funeral held at M.P. Church. |
