| Other | On May 6th, we were called to pay the last tributes of respect to one of our pioneer women, Mrs. Mary Shufflebarger, age 84. She was the mother-in-law to Franklin Landers. Aunt Polly Shufflebarger was born in Winchester, Pa., February 6th, 1798; she married November 15th, 1817; she moved to Indiana in 1824. Born in Frederick Co., Virginia; died in Gibson Co., Ind. Married in Montgomery Co., Virginia. Children: James Milden, Henry, Louise, Elias, Cynthia Mary, Bird Grills, Margaret Cyrene, and John Anderson Shufflebarger. |
