| Other | Mrs. Sarah Rudicell, who died March 12th, in her 86th year, was the daughter of the late John Stipp of Centerton, Indiana. She was born near Harper's Ferry, Virginia. At age 11, she and her family moved to Ohio and settled on Mad River. In 1818, her family moved to Franklin County, where she met and married John Rudicell, April 6th, 1820. To them were born 7 daughters and 1 son. Her husband and 5 daughters have since died. They moved to Morgan County, 2 miles south of Centerton, in 1830. There was a story that she and her daughter Cynthia, riding on her lap, with her brother, Michael Stipp, rode 120 miles in 3 days, from New Trenton to Centerton, to see her mother, who was of feeble health. |
