Other	Age 74. "Mrs. Aaron Rose died Sunday. Her maiden name was Elvira S. Welty; she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Welty who came here from Pennsylvania in 1850. She married first to Joseph Johnson, who was the Sheriff of Morgan County at the time, but he died shortly after their marriage. Then in 1853 she married Aaron Rose. Mr. and Mrs. Rose had been married 49 years. Their children are: Prof. C.D. Rose of Nebraska; J.W. Rose of California; plus C.W., W.F., A.D., and A.G. Rose, and their only daughter, Mrs. E.T. Singleton. Mrs. Rose was born 15 January 1828 and was from a family of 6 sons and 7 daughters."
