Her older siblings were Loren Mallette, Locia Gamble, Leoka Gamble, Ava Benjamin, and Joyce Mallette. Her younger sister and lifelong best friend is Dorothy Conklin. Married in 1950, and lived in Waverly where her first four children were born, then moved to a log cabin on Goat Hollow Rd. in 1958, where she had three more children. Worked at the Post Office in Martinsville from 1969 till she retired in 2004, Divorced husband Jack in1974 and never remarried. |
