[From the Martinsville Republican for April 27, 1899: "Uncle Sheddlock Reese, age 70, of near Waverly, was married to Etta Bailey (Balay), age about 35, in Indianapolis, Thursday."][From the Martinsville Republican for Dec. 18, 1902: "Shedlock Rees of Waverly has filed for a divorce from Etta (Balay) Rees."]
