| Other | Son of Mildred Marketz and Richard Peters, and grew up in Wisconsin. After high school he served 4 years in the Air Force. During this time he was a member of the Air Force All Star basketball team. After his service he attended Lakeland College in Wisconsin, continuing to play basketball, and was named team captain and the MVP. Received his BA degree, and became Physical Director of the YMCA in Burlington, Iowa. He married Corrine, and they moved to Mooresville, teaching history and coaching at Paul Hadley Jr. High. Started tennis programs at Mooresville HS and coached until his retirement. Completed his Master's Degree at IU. |
