Haywood was born in Andover, Sussex County, New Jersey 27 October 1814 and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kate Sloan, at Martinsville, 13 March 1880, age 74 years, 4 months, and 16 days. She married William B. Orner 13 December 1836. They came to Indiana in 1842 and settled in Martinsville. He died 23 August 1870. They were the parents of 6 children, with 3 still living. She had been an invalid for 8 years, utterly helpless for 4 years and speechless for 1 year.
