| Other | Age 18 years, 1 month, and 3 days. Was instantly killed when the boiler exploded at the Myers saw mill on the Paragon Road. He was caught by the flying debris and buried by the timbers and fragments of iron. [Saw mill was owned by his father, Henry Myers.] Also killed in the explosion were his brother, Hirschel Myers, age 14, and another worker, Perry Morrison, age 23. |
