Other | John Moser (sic), a well known citizen of Jefferson Township, died Monday, aged 90 years. He was born in Randolph County, North Carolina 8 September 1801 and was the youngest of 14 children. The family moved to Ohio in 1812, and to Orange County, Indiana in 1813. His father was killed in 1821, and his mother and family moved to Owen County, later settling in Morgan County. His wife has been an invalid for 50 years. His grandfather, Tobias, was a German, and emigrated to America before the Revolutionary War, in which he served, as well as the War of 1812. Tobias died at Lafayette, Indiana at the age of 107. John's grandmother died in Orange County, Indiana at the age of 111. Married Miss Lukenbill in Owen Co., Ind. on Sept. 14, 1830. Father of 8 children: Kesiah, David, Catherine, Julia Ann, Mary E., Margaret, John and William. |
