Other	Mrs. Mary A. Mitchell died Friday night with all her living children at her bedside. She was the widow of J.M. Mitchell and has lived in Morgan County for more than 50 years. She was the daughter of Mrs. Vincent Scott, and with her parents moved from Bourbon County, Kentucky to Indianapolis in 1828, at the age of 7. Her father died after living in Indianapolis for six months, and with her mother, brother and 2 sisters, she moved back to Kentucky. Her brother, Jeff Scott, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Barnard, live in Martinsville. Giles Mitchell, the father of J.M. and S.M. Mitchell, went to Kentucky 7 years later and married Mrs. Scott. With her children, she and J.M. and S.M. Mitchell, children from a previous marriage of Giles Mitchell, moved to Martinsville. J.M. Mitchell married Mary A. Scott, his stepsister. Of the 10 children born to them, 6 are still living.
