| Other | Dr. George W. Miller died at his home Friday. He was born in Hendricks County, and died at the age of 52. Married first wife on Sept. 30, 1874. She divorced him in Sept. 1881. (Source: Martinsville Republican, Sept. 15, 1881.) "He was a Civil War veteran [Co. I, 31 Ind.], and in 1875 went to Indianapolis to study medicine. On 7 May 1888, he married Miss Lillie Rapier of this city, and they had one son, Byron, who is now 8 years old. Dr. Miller was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Miller, and was one of 4 brothers and 6 sisters. His other 3 brothers and 5 sisters have died. His remaining sister lives in Missouri." |
