He was a banker, farmer, and prominent citizen of Mooresville. He came here in 1878 and engaged in the lumber business. Lived in a large old house that he built on the southeast corner of Harrison and Indiana Streets in Mooresville. Married Flora C. Cox, daughter of John B. and Harriet Landers Cox, on Oct. 24, 1882. They had no children. (His home later became the Harvey Funeral Home.) Buried in Sheets/Matthews family plot, Mooresville Cemetery. |
