She worked as a clerk and bookkeeper for over 30 years at A & P Grocery in Martinsville, retiring in 1983. Member of First Baptist Church in Martinsville, American Legion Post #230 Ladies Auxiliary, and volunteer for Meals-On-Wheels. Preceded in death by her parents, first and second husbands; two brothers, James and Edmond Turner; and one sister, Thelma Burns. |
