Emigrated to this country with his wife, parents, 3 sisters and one brother in May 1817. During the arduous journey, his father died and was buried at sea. Landed in Baltimore in October 1817. Settled in Adams Co., Pa. Lived there until 1822, when he moved to Prince William Co., Va. Moved with his family to Morgan Co., Indiana in 1836; lived here the rest of his life. Born and baptised in the Lutheran Church; joined Presbyterian Church, and then M.E. Church upon moving to Mooresville. Father of: John B., George, Henry, Sarah Meredith, Susan, Charlotte, Catherine, and Mary Ann. |
