Other	Died -- Lucy Hodges, at her residence in Baker Township, on the 21st of July, aged 70 years, 8 months and 29 days. Lucy Newland was born near Big Sandy, Eastern Kentucky, October 22nd, 1812. When she was about 8, her family moved to Washington County, Indiana, near Salem. She was married to John Hodges on the 21st of November 1830. He died 7 September 1856, leaving her with a large family. She and her husband moved to Morgan County the winter following their marriage. A member of the Baptist Church. "From Hindoostan -- Aunt Lucy Hodges died last Saturday and was buried at Union Church on Sunday. She was one of the old settlers of Baker Township."
