Other	Age 26. Daughter of John and Sarah Caroline Locke Oyler. Married in about 1887. She and her husband lived in Belleville, Hendricks Co. On Jan. 10, 1895, both were found shot; Mrs. Hinshaw was dead and her husband wounded. He was later found guilty of her murder, and was sentenced to life imprisonment. Accounts at the time said that Rev. Hinshaw killed his wife to hide the fact that he had been carrying on an affair with another woman. [The Hendricks County Museum has an exhibit about this story, called "The Case of the Philandering Preacher."]
