| Other | For many years, he drove a "hack" (a long hearse-like covered buggy with two rows of seats on either side to accomodate 20 or more passengers) between Monrovia and Mooresville. Local tradition has it that his long name was the result of his being one of identical twins born to the Hinshaw family. When one of the twin boys died, the parents were not sure which one it was, and so gave both names to the surviving twin. |
