She was born in Nottingham, England 4 June 1837, and at age 6, she, with her family, moved to Guelph, Canada, and a few years later they moved to Fayette County, Ohio, where her father died. On 8 December 1857, she married Elder J.H. Henry. Her maiden name was Anna (Rider) Simpson. They had 3 children from this union: John C., James H. and Ella N. Mr. and Mrs. Henry moved to Martinsville in 1863 and later to Gosport for 11 years, then back to Martinsville."
