Henry being her brother. Her father died when she was only 2 years old. She came to this state from Ohio, about 1863, and made her home with her brother until July 1865, when she married William R. (sic) Hastings. They had 7 children. Five are still living. A daughter, Elsie, suffered from the same type of fever that her mother died of. She was buried from the Liberty Church, 5 miles south of Martinsville." |
