| Other | Lot M. Hadley died Tuesday at his home in Plainfield, age 91. Before moving there, he had lived on a farm near Gasburg for 70 years. "Lot M. Hadley, father of Mayor A.M. Hadley, died last night. He was the youngest child of Jeremiah and Ruth Maris Hadley, and each of them lived until almost 100. He came to Indiana in 1823, and he and his parents located near Mooresville. On January 1, 1832, he married Eunice Haydock of North Carolina, and to them were born 6 children: Nathan, Asenath, Ann, Amy, Julia, and Jared. Mrs. Hadley died 5 July 1867. On March 4, 1868, he married Sophia Day Crawford (Prosser?), and they had 2 children, Arthur M. and Estella B." Civil War veteran: Co. C, 70th Indiana Volunteers. |
