| Other | Age 55. Born in Morgan Co., Ind.; son of Isaac and Susan Parker Haase who had moved to Indiana from North Carolina. He was the 5th of their 10 children. Married Miss Mosier in Morgan County on Aug. 26, 1869. Had a sawmill business with his cousin, A. Haase. They introduced the first circular sawmill in Morgan County, and ran their business for 8 years. In 1873, Christopher ran a saloon in Spencer; two years later, he went to Clay County, where he owned another sawmill. He went back to the saloon business in Spencer, worked in the State House Stone Quarries, had a drug business, and then operated a restaurant. Died in Spencer, Washington Twp., Owen Co., Ind. |
