Age 5 years, 3 months, and 15 days. Son of Jacob and Jane (Virginia?) Feazel. Jacob was a boot and shoemaker who was born in Virginia. Gravestone lists mother's first name as Jane. "One evening a small boy, Wm. Feazel...was playing about the [oil] mill, [which was operated by an ox on a treadmill], when in some manner he became caught in the machinery and was instantly killed." (Oil mill was owned by John Carter, and was located on W. Washington Street.) |
