| Other | A Horrible Death -- Joseph Paulger, the day miller at the Thornburgh & Small Union Mill, noticed the speed of the machinery was being checked. He started checking the machinery and when he got to the third floor, he found the dead body of his grandson, Elmer English, the day oiler, revolving around on the shaft. It was surmised that his clothes got entangled and pulled him in. The funeral was held this morning in Martinsville and afterwards the body was taken to Indianapolis for burial. He was 15 years of age and his mother resides in Indianapolis. He had been living with his grandfather about a year. Buried Aug. 13, 1886. |
