| Other | Age 70. "From Mooresville -- Mrs. Martha Elliott, one of our old and respected citizens, was buried last Sunday evening...She was born in Alamance, North Carolina. In infancy, she was left an orphan by the death of her mother, and was adopted by an uncle. At 19, she married Ensley Elliott, who preceded her in death by 18 years, leaving her with a son, Larken. They moved to Mooresville in 1857, staying there about a year when they returned to North Carolina, but returned to Mooresville in 1866." |
