Survived By Widow; 2 daughters, Mrs. Oliver (Ollie) Grant (Effie) Warren and Mrs. George (Dessie) Knox; 7 grandchildren; brother; sister. (Youngest daughter, Maude, died 2 years ago. Also preceded in death by first wife, Martha, and four other children: Lillie, Florence, Guilford, and Elmer.)
Other Age 64. Parents: George and Malinda Dresslar. [Of their family of several brothers and sisters, only 2 survive: Mrs. Jane Byers and Daisy Dresslar, both of Banta.] Civil War veteran: Co. C, 79 Reg. Ind. Vols. Married Martha Boaz on Aug. 11, 1861. She died June 30, 1877, in a terrible tornado that struck Mooresville, along with 3 of the children: Lillie, Florence, and Guilford. She is buried with them in Shiloh Cemetery. Daughter Effie was badly hurt in the tornado, and Mr. Dresslar was so badly crippled that he had to give up farming. Mr. Dresslar married Dora Tillman on Oct. 1, 1878; they had 2 children, Dessie and Maude. Died at his home in Mooresville. Buried in Warren/Dresslar family plot, Mooresville Cemetery.
