She was born in Oldham County, Kentucky, the daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Williams who were natives of Virginia. In 1842, she married John M. Cornwell of Kentucky; he died in April 1876. To them were born 6 children, but only one survives...Her funeral was largely attended. She was the sister of Lawrence Williams, deceased. Mrs. Williams, her son Edward and daughter Nellie were in attendance." |
