Other | Age 36. "Rev. A.J. Cheeseman drowned this afternoon while swimming in White River near High Rock. He was formerly an M.E. circuit preacher, operating out of Martinsville. It was thought that he might be an Englishman by birth, and was probably about 45 years old." "He was born near Lincolnshire, England; after graduating from the Methodist Theological College, he went to New Foundland in 1886. In 1887, he came to Morgan County and married Miss Minnie V. Dilley. He left the ministry and was a clothing traveling salesman. He drowned in the White River a week ago Friday." |
