Other	Age 85. "John C. Brewer, father of Elder Urban C. Brewer, died at the residence of his son, near Hall, July 12th. He was born in Randolph County, North Carolina, 7 April 1817, and settled in Morgan County at age 17. He married Mary Elizabeth Wilhite, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noah Wilhite, in April of 1836 and they had 11 children. In 1857, he and his family moved to Pulaski County, Indiana. He and his wife were on a trip to the place where they were married when he died."
