Married four times: 1) Ann Buchanan, on Dec. 13, 1856, in Jefferson Co., Iowa; she died March 13, 1886; 2) Nancy Buchanan, on Dec. 5, 1886 in Hendricks Co., Ind.; she died March 13, 1899; 3) Cornelia A. Wilhite, on May 11, 1899, in Hendricks Co.; she died July 22, 1904; 4) Nancy J. Slavens, June 5, 1905. He was a Civil War veteran: Co. C, 70th Reg. Ind.
