Married Rachel Moon on Sept. 1819; they moved to Morgan Co., Ind. in 1820. For 63 years, he lived and labored on the same tract of land. Father of ten children, eight of whom are still living. Gave one son as a sacrifice to his country. Member of M. E. Church.
