| Other | Age 61. "Elliott Franklin Branch died Tuesday. His children, Miss Leafy Branch, from New York; Emmitt F. Branch, of Fort Harrison; Miss Olive Branch and Capt. John Branch were at his bedside when he died. He was born in Johnson County and moved to Martinsville in 1865 from Franklin. He was elected Treasurer of Morgan County in 1878. On 13 May 1868, he married Miss Alice Parks, who died in 1884. He was in the seed and grain business. Many of the businesses in Martinsville closed for his funeral." |
