Civil War veteran; enrolled at Springfield, Mo. in Co. I, 1st Missouri Cavalry. Moved to Mooresville, Ind. in 1878. Married Mary E. Woods on Nov. 8, 1871; she was the daughter of W.A. Woods. They had three children: Frank R., Charlie W., and Nellie B. Wife died died March 30, 1880. Mr. Bass then married Martha T. Turley Bray, on Oct. 27, 1881. Member M.E. Church. Owned and operated Bass Drugs at the corner of Main and Indiana Streets in Mooresville for many years. |
