| Other | Died at the age of 36, by taking poison; death assumed to have occurred in Chicago. Daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W. H. Buirl (or Guirl), who lived in Mooresville, Ind. in the 1890s. They owned the local flour mill and lived in the house on the site of the Clark Robbins Sanitarium. Mrs. Baird was a small girl then, and went by the name of Flossie. Her mother died suddenly in a Chicago hospital several years ago from an overdose of headache powder. Her father committed suicide a few years later because of despondency over business reversals. |
