Other Age 86. Born Sept. 25, 1797. Parents moved to Indiana territory in 1808. Moved to Morgan Co. in April 1822, to east side of White Lick, where Brooklyn now stands. Joined Territorial Army of frontier and helped build fort near Salem. Helped build first dam across White Lick at Brooklyn. Died at the residence of his son-in-law, L.D. Moon. Buried in Locust Grove (Monical) Cemetery, north of Brooklyn.
