Other | Born in Guilford County, North Carolina. Left that state in October 1830, moved to Indiana, and settled in Mooresville. Married Margaret Walker in 1824. They had two children, Luticia and Mary Ann. Luticia died on May 2, 1883, in Iowa. "Uncle Gabriel" did business as a grocer, baker and confectioner at 29 E. Main St. in Mooresville, and was known as "the Gingerbread Man". Member of Christian Church. Died aged about 72 years. Elder Perry Blankenship preached funeral sermon. |
