Joined I.O.O.F. on Dec. 21, 1870. Married Martha Turley on Jan. 24, 1872, and they lived at parents' home. Died there of consumption at the age of 39 years, 3 months, 8 days. [From the Diary of Elam Harvey for Jan. 23, 1880: "Learned this morning that Bro. Bray died last night about two o'clock...came with Eli Dakin to sit up with Bro. Bray's corpse. I have written a short account of his life to be read at the funeral tomorrow. He died in full faith and to the satisfaction of all."] Buried by the I.O.O.F. "in full form." |
