Graduate of Martinsville HS at the age of 16, then began nurse's training at Wishard Memorial Hospital School of Nursing during WWII. Married Dr. Bruce Smith Barnes, MD, at the end of WWII and moved to Lancaster, Texas, where he died in 1958. Two years later, she married Robert Lee Rund, Col, USAF. Following his retirement in 1966, they returned to San Antonio, where they resided for the rest of their lives. |
