Other | Mr. Wm. M. Hancock, son-in-law of Amos Stout, died last Saturday near Marysville, Tennessee, of consumption, aged about 34. Something over two years ago, he married Lucretia, youngest daughter of Amos Stout of this city. They removed to St. Paul, Minn., and because of his work, he traveled quite a bit. With his sickness, he had returned to the area where he was born and raised, so he went to East Tennessee. He died at 6 o'clock P.M. Saturday last, near Marysville, in the mountains, 34 miles from any railroad. His wife found a casket and a wagon and drove it to the New River depot on the Cincinnati and Southern R.R. and took the train to Indianapolis and then to Martinsville for his final burial. |
