| Other | Age 84. "William Mabee, the oldest child of John and Ann Mabee, of Sussex County, New Jersey, was born there in 1822. He went from there to Ohio in 1844, returned to N.J. in 1846, and later returned to Ohio. Veteran of the Mexican War, from Ohio. In 1849 he married, in New Jersey, Catherine Peters. He and his young family came to Peru via the canal and settled in Morgan County in 1854. They had several children. His funeral was held at the home of Ezra Dyer Wednesday." |
