Other | Age 82. Son of Allen S. and Sarah Canatsey Anderson; he was their eldest child. Married first wife on Aug. 25, 1859 in Johnson Co., Ind. They had 7 children: Lorena Alice, Rozella, Alice, Walter, Ettie Viola, Vestal, and Ed. Wife Mary died in 1901. Married second wife on Sept. 17, 1902 in Morgan County, Ind. He was a farmer and stock-breeder; owned 248 acres, with "the finest brick residence in the county and a pear orchard of 1,000 trees." He also raised "Clydesdale horses, short-horn cattle, Oxford Down sheep and China Poland hogs; he, in company with Mr. Mosier, introduced this stock into the county.
