Other	Age 80 years, 18 days. "An Old Settler Gone -- Ervin Townsend died at his home Sunday. He was born in Washington County, Indiana and came to Morgan County in 1822 with his grandparents. He remained with them until he married Miss Mary A. Deakins, also of Washington County, in 1840; she died in June 1883. They had 12 children, with 6 surviving. He was buried in the Townsend Cemetery, 3 1/2 miles south of this city."
