In 1821, she married Peter Coble, and they moved to Morgan County in 1830; they had 5 children, 4 daughters and 1 son. After her husband's death (James Medaris), she sold the farm and moved to Owen County. Later, she moved in with her daughter near Brooklyn, Mrs. John McDaniel, who died 4 June 1898. Afterwards, she lived with her granddaughter, Mrs. Jane Rustin of Brooklyn." "Grandma Medaris was buried next to her daughter, Mrs. McDaniel. She thought that she would be buried next to her husband (James Medaris) in Owen County, but changed her mind. Her last husband was in the War of 1812." |
