She has been subject to fainting spells all her life. She was a good woman and highly respected to all who knew her." Same diary, July 13: "Went to Aunt Sarah's funeral. It was very largely attended and her neighbors seemed to think a great deal of her. They were very loath to give her up. All of her brothers and sisters were there except Uncle Clark."]
